Best Crypto Screeners: Which Tool Fits Your Trading Needs?
The best crypto screener depends on your market and rule: TradingView or altFINS for configurable technical discovery, DEX Screener for on-chain pools, CoinGlass for leverage context, and CoinNudge for a free, explained market-radar workflow. Compare 13 tools below, learn what free plans restrict, and see why an unusual-volume candidate may still need to wait. No tool is ranked by untested trading profits.

Which are the best crypto screeners for your market and strategy?
Choose a crypto screener by the question it can actually filter. TradingView and altFINS suit configurable technical discovery; DEX Screener suits on-chain pools; CoinGlass suits derivatives positioning; CoinNudge suits a ready-made, explained market-context workflow. CoinGecko and CoinMarketCap are useful free discovery tools, while on-chain and fundamental products are complements rather than direct technical replacements.
These 13 tools are compared by access, market, filter and limitation. CoinNudge appears second for editorial visibility, not because it won second place in a measured performance ranking. Read the free limits and required paid feature before buying: a large asset directory does not mean every coin supports every metric.
Source checks: 3 October 2026. USD unless EUR shown; regional or unverified numeric quotes are not carried forward. Editorial display order, not a performance ranking. CoinNudge is the publisher and a compared vendor.
| Crypto screener / best-fit task | Access cost / free limits | Market and filter workflow | Reason to choose another tool |
|---|---|---|---|
| TradingView / coin discovery and CEX technical filters | Free entry; paid plans vary by region and billing. Current USD quote not verified. | Crypto Coins for asset discovery; CEX for venue/pair filters; inspect interval and field definition. | Choose for configurable filters/charts; a saved scan is not automatically an alert or profitable strategy. |
| CoinNudge / explained market radar and contextual alerts | Free public radar and Research. Optional Pro $8.99 /30 days: technical, volume, flow, leverage, listing alerts and daily briefing. | Preset breadth, relative volume, spot pressure, sector and derivatives panels linked to evidence. | Less setup for market context; not arbitrary filter code, exhaustive DEX discovery or order execution. |
| altFINS / preset scans, custom filters and chart patterns | Starter limited; standard monthly Basic $20, Essential $40, Premium $60. Verify promotions and feature limits. | Technical presets, saved custom conditions and pattern workflows; access depends on plan/timeframe. | Choose when you want configurable crypto scans; provider accuracy claims are not our independent results. |
| CryptoMeter / AI signal and order-flow investigation | Public previews; AI Screener in Gold: $49.99 monthly, or $479/year ($39.99 advertised monthly equivalent). | AI calls, volume flow and derivatives context; verify actual entry, exit and PNL definitions. | Choose for its documented AI workflow; favourable price excursion is not realized net profit. |
| CoinGlass / derivatives positioning | Public dashboards; Prime $28 monthly or $268 billed annually. API separately scoped. | Funding, OI and projected liquidation heatmaps; match venue/contract/time. | Choose for leverage context; potential liquidation zones are not confirmed forced sales. |
| DEX Screener / on-chain pools and new tokens | Public pool browsing; verify any optional paid/promotional services separately. | Chain, token contract, pool age, liquidity, transactions and volume. | Choose when candidates are pools, not Binance spot coins; token safety and sellability need separate checks. |
| CoinGecko / categories and fundamental discovery | Free public market/category pages; API subscriptions are separate. | Coin identity, categories, circulating supply and market aggregates. | Good broad discovery; not an exchange-specific closed-candle trigger feed. |
| CoinMarketCap / asset directory and movers | Free public market discovery; verify separate commercial products. | Market cap, turnover, categories, price change and candidate identity. | Use before venue-level chart/liquidity checks; aggregated turnover is not a comparable intraday volume ratio. |
| Altrady / custom technical scans with trading tools | Basic €28/month or €20/month equivalent billed yearly; TA Scanner tier/add-ons have separate limits. | TA Scanner conditions, watchlists and trading workflows. | Choose for custom scans integrated with trading; do not assume the base plan unlocks every scanner feature. |
| Santiment / Sanbase / social and on-chain screening | Free restricted; Pro $49/month, Max $249/month. Verify billing and exact metric tier. | Social, development and on-chain signals; Free advertises 30-day lag and restricted filters. | Alternative-data complement; popularity, development activity and exchange buying are different measurements. |
| Glassnode / on-chain research complement | Advanced $49/month billed annually; Professional configured. Token Screener belongs to professional scope. | Holder/market metrics and specialist dashboards, not just technical pair discovery. | Choose for deeper on-chain evidence; $49 is not a confirmed price for the professional screener. |
| CryptoQuant / exchange and on-chain research complement | Basic entry; current numeric paid quote not verified. | Exchange/on-chain metrics for investigating a candidate. | Do not treat transfer metrics as aggressive traded buying or assume every metric is available for every coin. |
| Messari / fundamental asset screening complement | Basic view-only access; Enterprise filtering and price need confirmation. | Asset profiles, fundamentals, project events and asset screening. | Choose for project diligence; neither a substitute for intraday pair execution checks nor a verified profit ranking. |

What should you check before choosing a crypto screener?
- Match the market first: coin, exchange pair and DEX pool are different screening units.
- Write the formula and candle state; absolute volume, relative volume and aggressive-buy share are different measurements.
- Verify free limits and the feature-specific paid tier rather than comparing advertised entry prices alone.
- Preserve failed, missing and rejected candidates. A shortlist, a delivered alert and a profitable executed trade are different outcomes.
How were these crypto screeners compared—and what was not tested?
This is a dated official-documentation comparison, not a paid-account performance test. Product and plan sources were checked on 3 October 2026; we inspected public interfaces where available. We did not measure cross-provider delivery speed, uptime, predictive accuracy or trading profits. Our four-row example explains a frozen public dataset, not a backtested trading strategy.
We reviewed six user-supplied pages from four independent organizations; the three altFINS pages are one vendor, and SoftwareSuggest is a directory rather than a screener. TradingView’s tool did not expose usable result rows in our browser; CryptoMeter returned 403 locally, although its public risk notes were readable through another channel. Their official documentation supports the stated capabilities, not a claim that those interfaces were fully tested.
CoinNudge is both publisher and compared vendor. Recommendations are conditional editorial choices; links have no affiliate tracking and no provider paid for placement. A feature not verified here remains unverified, not proven absent. Recheck region, plan and checkout when deciding.
Should I screen crypto coins, exchange pairs or DEX pools?
Screen coins for project-level discovery, exchange pairs for a tradable venue-specific setup, and DEX pools for on-chain liquidity. BTC as a coin, Binance BTCUSDT spot and a token’s individual pool are not interchangeable rows. TradingView now documents distinct Crypto Coins, CEX and DEX screeners; it should not be described as only a basic technical filter.
Before comparing a result, write six fields: asset or contract identity, venue, instrument type, quote currency, candle interval and observation time. Multiple pairs for one coin inflate a coin count; aggregate USD volume can differ from one venue’s USDT turnover. A directory helps discover a project, but you still need the exact pair’s spread and order depth before treating it as executable.

What is the best free crypto screener—and when is paying justified?
Start free if your task is market discovery or a public preset scan. Use CoinGecko/CoinMarketCap for broad assets, DEX Screener for pools, or CoinNudge Market Radar for source-labelled context. Consider a paid tier only after naming a missing capability: saved/custom filters, required intraday interval, current social data, pattern access or notification delivery.
Free is not a uniform allowance. altFINS documents restricted Starter results; Sanbase advertises a 30-day lag and restricted screening; a public CryptoMeter preview does not include its Gold AI Screener. Check the actual plan feature rather than the presence of a Free button. TradingView’s regional pricing response did not give us a verified current USD quote.
For a beginner, a useful trial ends with a repeatable shortlist and a reason to reject weak candidates—not a subscription bought because a leaderboard promised wins. If the free product already completes your task, paying is not evidence that the next trade will be better.

TradingView crypto screener: which view should I use and how do I start?
Use Crypto Coins for asset-level discovery and CEX for an exchange-pair setup. The official Crypto Coins guide supports market, valuation, holder, transaction, sentiment and technical fields; CEX lets you define the trading market. Availability is metric-specific, so do not assume every field has equal coverage for every token.
Open Products → Screeners, choose the appropriate view, add filters and columns, then save the screen. For a Binance spot workflow, identify the exchange, USDT quote and spot instrument before evaluating a closed-candle indicator. Keep the chart on that same pair and timeframe. Saving a screen, exporting results and creating a monitored alert are different actions; verify the chosen plan and alert type.
Success means you can reopen the saved configuration and explain why a named pair passed. If a supposedly identical chart disagrees, check the market, interval, calculation and live-versus-closed candle before deciding either tool is wrong. This is a documentation-based workflow, not a tested paid-account setup.

altFINS or TradingView: do you need preset scans or your own chart workflow?
Consider altFINS when you want ready-made crypto scans and pattern-assisted discovery alongside saved custom filters. Prefer TradingView when your screening process is tied to chart configuration or a precise pair-level workflow. Neither choice proves a higher win rate.
altFINS official price documentation lists standard monthly Basic $20, Essential $40 and Premium $60. Starter is limited; pattern intervals and saved-rule access vary by tier. Its marketing pages use different coverage counts, so verify the specific function’s universe instead of treating the largest headline number as universal access. A bullish pattern still needs level, execution and risk checks.

How do I use a crypto volume spike screener without just finding BTC and ETH?
Rank abnormal volume relative to each coin’s own baseline, then inspect absolute liquidity separately. Absolute turnover answers where most trading occurred; relative volume asks where activity changed unusually. Neither tells you by itself whether buyers dominated or whether the move can continue.
CoinNudge’s published 5-minute scan uses current closed-candle USDT quote volume divided by the mean of the preceding 20 closed candles. TradingView documents its own relative-volume definitions; values from different baselines are not interchangeable. Write the formula, candle state and lookback next to your filter.
For the CoinNudge example, the eligible universe is native-crypto Binance USDT spot with rolling 24-hour quote turnover at least $1 million; stable-value, tokenized-security and commodity products are excluded. The published 30 strongest observations are ordered alert-qualified → rule event → context, then ratio descending within status. A 3× exploratory cut is not the effective per-symbol alert threshold. Order-book depth and spread still need a separate execution check.

What does a real volume-screener result tell you—and when should you wait?
The frozen Binance observation ending 2026-10-03T13:54:59.999Z shows why a candidate is not automatically a trade. The public feed reported 192 eligible markets and returned 30 strongest rows. Among those selected 30 rows, 9 reached a simple 3× ratio, but only 1 had alert_qualified status. These are counts of the returned shortlist, not a whole-market qualification rate or success probability.
The four visible cases were selected by a fixed explanatory rule: the first returned row; the first context row with active-buy share above 90%; the first context row below 1%; and the largest-notional comparator from the same summary. All are Binance spot, closed 5-minute observations at 2026-10-03T13:54:59.999Z. The chart compares each ratio with its effective threshold; the table supplies the raw ratio numerator and denominator.
PARTIUSDT traded 154,580.13 USDT versus a 7,952.61 USDT baseline: division gives 19.44×. ZAMAUSDT had 92.54% active buying but remained below its 8.42× threshold. BLURUSDT had a 6.56× ratio with only 0.32% aggressive buying. BTC’s larger turnover did not make its 0.30× ratio an anomaly.
Use the cases to decide what to check next, not what to buy today. Status is the feed’s rule classification, not proof of Telegram delivery. Active-buy share measures executed trade direction, not exchange deposits, wallets or investor conviction. The snapshot is fixed; open the live research page for current conditions. The export contains all 30 returned rows plus the summary, not the underlying full eligible-universe candles or future outcomes.
| Binance spot pair / closed 5m | Current / preceding 20 mean quote turnover | Volume ratio / effective threshold | Active-buy quote share | Published status / next check |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| PARTIUSDT | 154,580.13 / 7,952.61 USDT | 19.44× / 10.59× | 58.99% | alert_qualified — Review next closed candle, spread and higher-timeframe direction. |
| ZAMAUSDT | 112,353.20 / 14,150.30 USDT | 7.94× / 8.42× | 92.54% | context — High active buying; ratio below this pair’s threshold. Wait. |
| BLURUSDT | 28,661.28 / 4,368.06 USDT | 6.56× / 9.69× | 0.32% | context — Volume rose without aggressive buying. Not bullish confirmation. |
| BTCUSDT | 745,057.80 / 2,467,436.46 USDT | 0.30× / 7.68× | 66.51% | context — Largest turnover; below own baseline. Not abnormal volume. |

Which crypto breakout screener should I use—and what confirms the result?
Choose a tool that makes the broken reference level and candle state inspectable. A new-high list identifies a location in a range; it does not prove the candle closed beyond resistance or that a later retest held. Pattern detection is another discovery input, not automatic execution approval.
A practical review sequence is: record a level fixed before the event; wait for a close beyond it on your chosen interval; inspect abnormal volume and active trade direction; check the next close or retest; then calculate spread, costs and stop-to-target space. If price closes back through the fixed level, record failure rather than moving the reference to make the breakout remain valid.
This sequence is an illustrative checklist, not a validated universal entry strategy. Our separate BTC confirmation study examines specific rules and their failure cases; results do not transfer automatically to all coins, intervals or screeners.

Can an RSI or moving-average screener find a good buy-the-dip candidate?
It can find a defined condition, not prove a bottom. For a pullback-in-trend workflow, evaluate the higher-timeframe trend first, then whether the lower-timeframe decline is stabilizing. RSI below 30 in a strong downtrend is a different situation from a pullback that holds a previously fixed support.
An illustrative scan could require price above a rising long-term moving average, a lower-timeframe momentum pullback and a completed reversal condition. These are example rules to test, not optimized parameters or CoinNudge’s universal alert policy. Specify interval, RSI formula and close requirement; several indicators derived from the same closes are not independent confirmation votes. Reject a candidate with broken support or insufficient room after costs.

Which screener helps with funding, open interest and liquidation risk?
Use a derivatives-focused view such as CoinGlass to investigate leverage positioning, then match its contract, venue and observation time. Funding is a periodic transfer rate; open interest is outstanding exposure, not a direction vote. Rising dollar-valued OI can partly reflect price changes, so inspect native units where available.
Separate projected liquidation clusters from reported liquidation events. CoinGlass explains its heatmap as estimated potential zones. Prime is $28 monthly or $268 annually for its documented heatmap scope; it is not a blanket API licence. For a candidate with funding and OI pressure, inspect spot demand and costs rather than assuming concentrated leverage must trigger a squeeze.

Which crypto screener is suitable for new DEX tokens?
Choose a pool-focused tool such as DEX Screener when your candidates are on-chain pairs. Verify chain, full token contract, pool address, age, liquidity and transaction activity before ranking volume. Multiple pools with the same ticker are not the same trading instrument.
Pool liquidity is not an unconditional exit guarantee. Inspect token permissions, concentration, supply, liquidity controls and whether a small trade can actually be sold. A promoted or trending position is not a security audit. A fresh pool with missing history should enter an observation list, not inherit a long-history technical score.

How can I screen a crypto sector instead of buying its biggest gainer?
Check breadth within a named category rather than only the leading token’s return. CoinGecko categories and CoinNudge’s sector research help discovery, but their memberships, weighting and eligible market scopes need not match. Category performance is not the return of an investable equal-weight portfolio.
Record constituents, observation period, advancing share and liquidity. Then inspect whether strength is broad or concentrated in one large constituent. Compare a candidate’s own performance and depth; a sector label does not mean every member shares the same economics or token-value capture. CoinNudge tracks 50 named sector definitions, but valid membership and alert qualification still vary.
Verify: CoinGecko category scope · Crypto sector heatmap and participation method
Is an AI crypto screener better—and how should I read its win rate?
An AI label is not evidence of a profitable edge. Ask what inputs the model sees, when they were available, what output it produces and who controls entry, exit and size. Compare the same frozen candidate set with a simple code-only baseline before paying for an accuracy claim.
CryptoMeter’s public notes describe favourable high/low price excursion in its call PNL calculation, with losses referenced to the latest price. That is not the same as a trader closing at an executable price after fees. Its live calls were not accessible in our local browser, so we did not independently reconstruct its performance. For any AI screener, request all calls, failed/pending states, entry delays, costs and explicit exit rules.
Keep screening, an alert and an autonomous trading system separate. An AI suggestion may be useful for prioritizing research; it still needs stale-data checks and hard risk controls. Our AI Live Trade is a separate public paper experiment, not proof that every radar result was chosen by AI or can be traded profitably.

CoinMarketCap: when does broad discovery need a pair-level check?
Use CoinMarketCap for candidate identity, broad market ranks and movers. Its aggregated market turnover is not the turnover of your chosen execution pair. After finding a coin, open the venue-specific chart, spread and depth; do not interpret a large daily gain as a fresh signal.
Verify: CoinMarketCap public directory
Altrady: when should screening and execution share a workspace?
Consider Altrady if defining your own TA conditions and managing a trading workflow together is the missing capability. Its Basic price is €28 monthly or €20 monthly equivalent with annual billing; the pricing page separately describes restricted TA Scanner access and add-ons. Verify the scanner feature before buying a terminal plan, and separate screening quality from order-execution risk.
Santiment: can social attention confirm exchange buying?
Social and on-chain screening can identify attention or holder behaviour, but cannot by itself confirm aggressive exchange buying. Sanbase Pro is $49 monthly and Max $249 monthly; its Free page advertises delayed data and restricted screening. Match the metric clock to your trade question before using a social spike as confirmation; popularity can rise after price already moved.
Glassnode: is its $49 plan the professional token screener?
No: Advanced is advertised at $49 per month billed annually, while the professional Token Screener is listed in a separately configured scope. Choose Glassnode for deeper holder/on-chain investigation, not because the headline entry price promises every professional tool. Confirm metric resolution, asset coverage and export rights; the page’s API descriptions are not sufficient to assume unlimited API access.
CryptoQuant: what can exchange-flow research add to a shortlist?
Use exchange/on-chain metrics to investigate a candidate rather than treating them as a technical screener replacement. Deposits and withdrawals are transfers; aggressive buy/sell volume is executed trading. Check asset-specific metric availability and observation time. We did not obtain a verifiable current numeric paid quote, so this edition does not copy an older price.
Verify: CryptoQuant official plan scope
Messari: when do project fundamentals matter more than a price filter?
Use Messari as a fundamental research complement when you need asset profiles, supply, project events and screening beyond candles. Its current plan page distinguishes Basic view-only asset access from Enterprise filtering. Numeric pricing was not verified. A strong price setup still requires token-economics diligence; a strong project thesis still requires a tradable entry market.
Verify: Messari assets and plan access
Why do crypto screener results disagree or change before I open the chart?
Most apparent disagreements need a definition and clock check first: coin versus pair, venue, instrument, quote, interval, baseline and completed versus live candle. A 5-minute result can change while a 24-hour mover list stays similar. Refresh frequency is not a guarantee that every underlying source has just updated.
Record source time and capture time separately, inspect the source-health label, then reproduce the exact rule on the matching closed candles. If data is stale or missing, wait for a healthy observation instead of converting a missing field to zero. Save the old result before comparing a new one; never reinterpret a historical shortlist as current recommendations.
Verify: Source-labelled current market overview · Research formula and timestamp methodology
What should I do when a crypto screener returns no candidates?
First distinguish a successful scan with zero matches from a loading failure, stale source, unsupported field or plan restriction. Check one known liquid pair and its source time, then remove filters one at a time to identify the restrictive condition. Record each revision instead of silently replacing the rule after seeing outcomes.
Zero qualifying results can be a valid reason to wait. Do not loosen liquidity, change intervals or accept open candles merely to generate a trade. A tool that can explain an empty result is more useful than one that always produces a list with hidden missing values.
How do I test a crypto screener before paying for it?
Test one real workflow on the smallest suitable plan or public interface: choose a named market, freeze the interval and rule, save the shortlist and verify two candidates against their charts. A suggested seven-day trial is a workflow check, not a statistically sufficient profitability test.
Keep a log with UTC source/capture times, exact configuration, returned count, inspected pair, pass/reject reason, stale fields and any notification expected. Success means you can reproduce eligibility and explain a rejection. Failure means missing coverage, unresolvable definitions, required filters locked behind an unsuitable plan or too much manual checking for your available time. Retain unsuccessful observations, not just attractive charts.
Before subscribing, compare the actual upfront payment and included feature: monthly access, annual monthly-equivalent and a 30-day product are different commitments. If you need historical files or programmatic calls, verify permissions and actual dataset scope separately; buying a screener does not automatically license its historical database.
| Trial step | Expected evidence | Failure condition / next action |
|---|---|---|
| Define universe and rule | Venue/contract, interval, liquidity definition, baseline and capture clock recorded | Unknown metric or unavailable market → choose another tool or restrict the question. |
| Replay candidate eligibility | Matching closed chart and source values; preserve passing and rejected examples | Unexplained mismatch → inspect definition/time/plan, not provider-wide accusations. |
| Test updates and notifications | Record result changes; separately record a test alert and receipt if supported | No receipt or stale feed → diagnose channel/source; a trigger alone is not delivery proof. |
| Decide whether to buy | Required capability and exact upfront billing verified | Feature unnecessary or unsupported → keep free workflow or use a better-fit competitor. |

When should I choose CoinNudge rather than a custom crypto screener?
Choose CoinNudge when you want preset market context with nearby sources and methods: breadth, sectors, abnormal volume, executed spot pressure and derivatives evidence. Start with the free Market Radar; panels retain their own labelled periods and universes, so they are not one all-market score.
If repeated monitoring is the problem, optional Pro $8.99/30 days bundles nine managed real-time alert categories and one daily briefing. Supported spot coverage, 12 default plus up to 10 personal coins, language/timezone settings and eligible follow-ups are explained on the alert list. Broader radar coverage is not a promise that every scanned coin triggers every Telegram category.
Choose another tool for arbitrary thresholds/scripts, comprehensive DEX pools or a trading terminal. Historical research packs are separate fixed-edition purchases, not included in Telegram Pro. Public screening observations here are not an independently measured speed, noise or profit advantage.

Frequently asked questions
What is the best crypto screener?
Choose by task: TradingView or altFINS for configurable technical discovery, DEX Screener for on-chain pools, CoinGlass for derivatives context, and CoinNudge for preset source-labelled market evidence. This guide does not rank tested profitability.
What is the best free crypto screener?
CoinGecko/CoinMarketCap suit broad discovery, DEX Screener suits pools and CoinNudge Market Radar suits preset market context. Verify the required filter, freshness and market; free quotas and paid features differ.
Is a crypto screener the same as a scanner or an alert app?
A screener filters a universe, a scanner repeatedly searches for conditions, and an alert app delivers an event. Products overlap, but a saved shortlist does not prove that an alert was sent or read.
Which crypto screener finds unusual volume?
Use a volume-ratio tool with an explicit baseline and interval. CoinNudge compares a closed 5-minute quote-volume candle with its preceding 20-candle mean; a high absolute-volume coin is not necessarily an anomaly.
Is 3× relative volume a CoinNudge Telegram alert?
Not automatically. The published effective threshold and rule status matter; 3× is only a rough exploration cut. Qualification is still not a customer delivery receipt.
What is the difference between TradingView Crypto Coins and CEX screeners?
Crypto Coins supports asset-level discovery and related metrics. CEX screens exchange trading pairs, where venue, quote currency and instrument determine price, volume and technical conditions.
Is altFINS a free TradingView crypto screener alternative?
It is a partly overlapping preset/custom crypto workflow, not a drop-in replacement for every chart feature. Starter is restricted; the official standard monthly tiers checked here are Basic $20, Essential $40 and Premium $60. Verify the exact feature and interval.
Which crypto screener is suitable for new tokens?
A pool-focused view such as DEX Screener is a better starting point for new on-chain pairs. Check the full contract, chain, liquidity and sellability; a high rank is not a safety certification.
Does an AI screener win rate prove net profitability?
No. Check the complete call set, timing, actual exit rules, fees and open losses. A favourable intraperiod high or low is not an executed exit or net account return.
Why do screener values not match my chart?
Match asset identity, venue, instrument, quote, interval, baseline and observation time, including live versus closed candles. Treat stale or missing source data explicitly; do not fill it with zero.
Can a breakout scanner predict a winning trade?
No. It identifies a reference-level condition. Review a completed close, retest or failure, liquidity and costs; historical confirmation research does not guarantee the next outcome.
Does the liquidation heatmap show completed forced sales?
Not necessarily. CoinGlass describes potential liquidation zones estimated from market data. Reported event feeds and projected clusters are different evidence.
Do I need CoinNudge Pro to use the crypto screener workflow?
No. Market Radar and public Research are free to inspect. Pro is a separate 30-day Telegram delivery service, not an unrestricted custom-filter licence or historical-data entitlement.
Did you test which crypto scanner is fastest?
No controlled cross-provider latency, uptime or profitability test was run. This edition checks official documentation and explains a frozen public Binance snapshot; some live vendor interfaces could not be verified.
