Live crypto volume spikes right now

Current answer: As of , using Binance Spot liquid-market closed 5-minute candles: This is an anomaly ranking, not an absolute-volume leaderboard: otherwise BTC, ETH and other large markets would dominate and hide sudden relative activity in liquid mid-sized coins. Across 158 fresh markets from a 159-market Binance universe, FF currently ranks first at 6.08× its preceding 20-candle baseline. Its five-minute price move is +1.82% and the delivery state is context. Five-minute notional remains visible for scale.

Current source-backed snapshot

This page is ranked by unusual activity, not absolute trading volume. An absolute-volume ranking would be dominated by BTC, ETH and other large markets and could hide a meaningful sudden surge in a liquid mid-sized coin. CoinNudge instead compares the latest closed five-minute candle across Binance USDT spot markets with at least $1 million in rolling 24-hour quote volume, measuring every market against its own preceding 20 closed candles. The 30 strongest valid observations are shown in three states—alert-qualified first, rule events second and context third—with volume ratio sorted from highest to lowest inside each state. Five-minute notional remains visible so an impressive multiple from a small base can still be judged. The public research universe is wider than CoinNudge's private default Telegram coverage.

The public scan covers native-crypto Binance USDT spot markets above the $1 million rolling 24-hour quote-volume floor and displays the 30 strongest valid observations. Binance-tagged bStocks, stable-value products and tokenized commodities are excluded. It is not every listed product, every exchange or capital entering an exchange.

How to read this page

  • The eligible universe is rebuilt from Binance USDT spot markets with at least $1 million in rolling 24-hour quote volume after the shared crypto-only product classifier runs.
  • The latest candle is closed before calculation, so an unfinished burst cannot repeatedly repaint the result.
  • The page shows the 30 strongest valid observations, while a rule event and a Telegram-qualified alert remain separate states.
  • The broader public scan does not change the 12 default plus 10 personal-coin Telegram coverage.

What can this page tell you quickly?

Best for
Finding covered coins where five-minute trading activity has expanded sharply versus their own recent baseline.
Strongest evidence
Closed-candle notional, relative ratio, price confirmation and volatility context share one timestamp.
Main limitation
Binance Spot activity is not whole-market volume or on-chain capital flow.
Update rhythm
The browser requests a fresh CoinNudge snapshot about every 60 seconds; calculations advance on closed five-minute candles.

How are live crypto volume spikes ranked?

A raw dollar-volume leaderboard mostly rewards Bitcoin and other large markets. CoinNudge instead compares each coin with its own preceding 100 minutes of closed five-minute activity. A 4× ratio therefore means the latest candle traded four times its local baseline; it does not mean that coin traded more dollars than BTC.

The displayed list ranks alert-qualified observations first, rule events second and context observations third. Within each state, the latest five-minute volume ratio versus the preceding 20-candle baseline is sorted from highest to lowest. Quote notional stays beside the ratio because an impressive multiple from a small base may still be less operationally meaningful than a large liquid-market burst.

Why can a volume spike appear without a Telegram alert?

The research page is intentionally broader than the notification channel. Crossing the anomaly threshold makes the observation worth displaying. Telegram delivery additionally requires a material price move: at least 5× volume with a 0.5% absolute move, or at least 10× with a 0.25% move under the current policy.

This second gate reduces messages caused by high-turnover, directionless trading. It is a noise-control rule, not a claim that a qualifying event will make money. Users can inspect context here while receiving only the stricter subset privately.

  • Context: below the current anomaly threshold.
  • Rule event: abnormal relative activity, but below notification materiality.
  • Alert qualified: both abnormal volume and the price-move gate are satisfied.

How should active buys, VWAP and ATR be interpreted?

Aggressive-buy share estimates which side crossed the spread during the same candle. Above 50% indicates more observed buy-initiated notional, while below 50% indicates more sell-initiated notional. Missing or invalid taker fields stay unavailable rather than being replaced with 50%.

ATR percentile places current volatility inside its recent history, and UTC VWAP shows whether price is above or below the day's observed volume-weighted cost. Together they explain the setting of a burst; none identifies who traded or whether the next candle will follow through.

How should a trader verify a volume anomaly?

Start with structure: check whether price broke a visible level or merely crossed a wide candle. Then compare the technical page, market breadth and sector heatmap. A coin-specific burst aligned with broader participation carries different evidence from an isolated spike during weak breadth.

For leveraged markets, funding, open interest and liquidation pressure can explain whether the move coincides with expanding positions or forced exits. CoinNudge keeps those observations separate so disagreement remains visible instead of being compressed into a guaranteed buy or sell label.

Why is the public volume scan broader than private alerts?

The public page is a discovery tool, so it evaluates every current Binance USDT spot market above the $1 million rolling 24-hour quote-volume floor and ranks the 30 strongest valid observations. The eligible-market count and the fresh-candle count are shown separately, allowing users to see whether the scan is complete after a new market enters or a source briefly recovers.

Private Telegram delivery remains intentionally narrower: Pro covers BTC, ETH, 10 platform-managed popular coins and up to 10 personal coins. A public observation outside that set is not silently delivered to every subscriber. This separation provides broad market research without turning a useful notification channel into an uncontrolled stream of small-coin messages.

How do I compare two volume spikes when their dollar volumes are very different?

Use relative volume to assess the surprise and quote volume to assess scale. A smaller market can have the larger anomaly while a larger market still has much more traded notional.

The public liquid-market scan is broader than Market Events v1 and private alert coverage. A current public row does not imply a purchasable long history for that coin.

  • Compare each ratio against its own preceding 20 completed candle baseline.
  • Retain the status tier, quote volume, five-minute price change and valid active-buy context.
  • For a study, compare similar liquidity bands and avoid selecting coins using knowledge of later gains.

Method and data boundary

For every current Binance USDT spot market above the $1 million rolling 24-hour quote-volume floor, CoinNudge first applies one shared crypto-only asset policy. Binance product tags exclude bStocks, stable-value products and tokenized commodities; a maintained fallback catalog applies if that directory is temporarily unavailable. CoinNudge then divides the latest closed five-minute quote volume by the mean of the preceding 20 closed candles. The active candle is excluded from its own baseline. The snapshot and page refresh on the completed five-minute data cadence; a faster browser poll would not create a newer closed candle. The public page ranks alert-qualified, rule-event and context states in that order, then sorts volume ratio from highest to lowest inside each state. Stricter volume-plus-price materiality is required for Telegram delivery.

Coverage is the current liquid, native-crypto Binance USDT spot universe with contiguous candle history, not every listed product, token or exchange. Tokenized securities, tokenized ETFs, stable-value products, tokenized commodities and leveraged tokens are outside this dataset. The public scan can be much broader than private default alerts. Taker-buy share describes executed order-book activity and is not deposits, withdrawals or future price direction.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as a crypto volume spike?

The latest closed five-minute quote volume must exceed a dynamic historical threshold derived from the coin's own prior closed candles.

Why use closed candles?

Closed candles prevent an unfinished five-minute interval from repainting the displayed event as more trades arrive.

Does high volume mean price will rise?

No. High volume can accompany buying, selling, liquidations or two-sided churn.

Is active-buy share capital inflow?

No. It is executed order-book activity, not deposits, withdrawals or net money entering crypto.

Does this cover every Binance coin?

No. It covers current Binance USDT spot markets above the $1 million rolling 24-hour quote-volume floor that also have sufficient contiguous five-minute history.

Why did an event not reach Telegram?

The public scan is broader than private alert coverage. Telegram delivery still follows the user's plan, selected coins, material price move and healthy-data rules.
