Current source-backed snapshot
CoinNudge scans the current 50 highest-volume eligible Binance USDT spot markets and compares each latest closed one-hour candle with the high and low of the preceding 20 closed daily candles. A level break becomes alert-qualified only when the same closed hour also has at least 2× its preceding 20-hour quote-volume baseline and ATR is at or above its recent 70th percentile. Rows rank alert-qualified first, then unconfirmed level breaks, then context coins nearest a boundary. This is review priority—not expected return.

A level break is historical-price context, not proof of continuation. Alert-qualified requires at least 2x hourly volume and ATR at or above its 70th percentile; even confirmed breaks can fail or reverse.
How to read this page
- The unfinished hourly candle is never used.
- Level break and alert-qualified are separate states.
- Full confirmation needs 2× volume and ATR percentile at least 70.
- Context ranks by boundary proximity, not market size.
What can this page tell you quickly?
- Best for
- Finding liquid coins closing outside a documented 20-day range.
- Universe
- Up to 50 eligible Binance USDT markets.
- Confirmation
- 2× hourly volume plus ATR percentile of 70 or higher.
- Do not infer
- A confirmed break does not guarantee continuation.
What counts as a crypto breakout here?
An upside event needs the latest completed hourly close above every high in the preceding 20 completed daily candles. A downside event needs it below every low. Wicks returning inside do not qualify.
Daily levels supply a visible reference while the hourly close gives a timely completed event. Both are independently visible.
| State | Evidence | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Alert qualified | Break + 2× volume + ATR ≥ P70 | Price, participation and volatility align |
| Level break | Closed hour outside range | Price event exists; confirmation incomplete |
| Context | Price inside range | Ranked by nearest-boundary proximity |
Why add volume and ATR?
Relative volume checks participation against each coin's baseline, so mid-sized liquid markets are not hidden by BTC's absolute dollars. ATR asks whether movement expanded relative to the coin's regime.
The gates reduce low-energy crosses but cannot eliminate false breakouts. They are evidence filters, not a win-rate claim.
- Volume uses the prior 20 completed hours.
- The newest hour is excluded from its baseline.
- ATR is normalized by price.
- Missing confirmation is not converted to zero.
Why isn't the table sorted by absolute volume?
Dollars alone would keep BTC and ETH near the top without fresh events. CoinNudge groups alert-qualified, level break and context first. Breaks rank by distance beyond the boundary; context ranks by closeness.
Absolute 24-hour volume stays visible and determines eligibility, but is not a substitute for event-hour participation.
What should a useful breakout alert explain?
The message should name the level, closed price, distance, relative volume, ATR regime and whether confirmation passed. A naked BUY alert hides conditions and overstates historical action.
CoinNudge can notify after close and suppress repeats while price stays outside. The user decides fit and risk.
How should I define a failed breakout before testing this scanner?
Define failure in advance using a later closed price relative to the original breakout level and a fixed time limit. Changing the level or horizon after seeing price action makes results difficult to reproduce.
The current scanner does not publish a verified breakout win rate. Subscription outcomes are reference-price observations, not the results of a filled breakout strategy.
- Save the original range boundary, completed trigger candle and participation context.
- Choose the observation horizon and failure condition before measuring outcomes.
- Include unconfirmed level breaks and non-breakout periods as separately labeled comparisons.

What is measured, and what is not?
| Measured claim | Evidence on this page | Boundary |
|---|---|---|
| A market closed beyond its 20-day range. | Closed hourly and daily candles. | It can fail afterward. |
| The event has unusual participation. | Hour volume versus prior-20 mean. | Volume is not deposit inflow. |
| Volatility is elevated. | Price-normalized ATR percentile. | ATR does not identify direction. |

Method and data boundary
Each hour, CoinNudge selects up to 50 native crypto Binance USDT markets by current 24-hour quote volume after a $1 million floor. Resistance and support are the highest high and lowest low across the preceding 20 closed daily candles. The latest closed hourly candle must finish outside that range. Relative volume is the latest closed hour divided by the preceding 20 closed hours. ATR(14) uses hourly true range with Wilder smoothing, is divided by hourly close, and the current ATR% is ranked against the preceding 96 valid hourly ATR% values; the current value is excluded and at least 48 reference values are required.
Historical levels are not objective fair value and a close beyond them can fail. The rolling liquidity universe changes; Binance spot is one venue and the page does not include news, order-book depth or execution costs.
