Current source health
- research etf flows: live; last success 2026-09-13 11:35:38 UTC
The free source exposes only three delayed records per asset. Values are third-party consolidated net flows, can be revised after late issuer data and are not intraday creations, exchange deposits or direct crypto-market buying.
How to read this page
- Read the flow date: it is different from the page collection time.
- Positive means reported net creation/inflow; negative means net redemption/outflow for the consolidated product set.
- Compare several sessions because one day can be dominated by one issuer or rebalance.
- ETF flow is institutional-product activity, not a direct prediction of same-day crypto price.
What can this page tell you quickly?
- Best for
- Checking the latest available direction of US spot BTC and ETH product flows.
- Coverage
- Latest three provider-available sessions per asset.
- Frequency
- Daily source data checked about every six hours.
- Do not infer
- ETF flow does not prove immediate exchange buying or future price direction.
What does a daily crypto ETF net-flow number mean?
A positive consolidated number means creations or subscriptions exceeded redemptions across the tracked US spot products for that trading session. A negative number means the opposite. The figure aggregates funds and does not identify the motivation or holding period of end investors.
The underlying spot asset acquisition and operational settlement can occur through authorized participants and custodial processes. It should not be renamed as an exchange deposit or real-time market buy.
| Displayed field | What it supports | What it excludes | Interpretation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Positive daily flow | Net product inflow | Investor identity | Institutional-product demand context |
| Negative daily flow | Net product outflow | Reason for redemption | Product supply pressure context |
| Three-session sum | Short sequence direction | Full weekly history | Limited persistence check |
| Collection time | When CoinNudge fetched | Trading session close | Freshness, not flow date |
Why can the latest ETF flow date lag the calendar date?
US products report on trading days, not every UTC day. Weekends and market holidays create normal gaps, and consolidated data can arrive after the session closes. The free source also imposes a delay and a three-record limit.
CoinNudge displays the supplied flow date and marks the restricted preview in the summary. Missing same-day data is never replaced with zero.
| Situation | Expected display | Wrong assumption | CoinNudge behavior |
|---|---|---|---|
| Weekend | Friday may remain latest | Zero weekend flow is a new report | Keep latest date |
| Late issuer data | Recent value may be revised | First value is final | Refresh and disclose |
| Provider delay | Latest completed data can lag | Intraday coverage | Label restricted preview |
| Missing asset row | Unavailable | Assume zero | Do not fabricate |
How should ETF flows be compared with Bitcoin or Ethereum price?
Use flow as one daily demand channel. Compare its date with completed price return, Coinbase premium, market breadth and derivatives positioning. A positive flow day alongside weak price can indicate other selling pressure, timing differences or absorption; it does not automatically create a bullish divergence trade.
Likewise, price can rise on an outflow day because crypto trades continuously and global demand extends beyond US exchange-traded products.
| Flow | Price | Current question | Do not conclude |
|---|---|---|---|
| Inflow | Up | Do spot breadth and premium confirm? | Flow caused the move |
| Inflow | Down | Was demand absorbed by other selling? | Price must rebound |
| Outflow | Down | Are leverage and liquidity worsening? | Decline must continue |
| Outflow | Up | Which other demand channels dominate? | Flow data is wrong |
Why does CoinNudge publish a limited preview instead of estimating missing flows?
Reliable daily net flow requires issuer-level shares, NAV and creation/redemption information. Estimating from ETF trading volume or price change would mix secondary-market turnover with primary-market fund flow.
CoinNudge prefers a smaller disclosed dataset to a longer synthetic series. The page can expand when a reliable source with suitable access and licensing is available.
Which date should an ETF-flow study use when the figures arrive after the market session?
Keep the trading date and the first available publication or observation time separately. Testing a decision before publication with the final daily flow would use future information.
The current page uses a limited structured preview, not a complete fund-by-fund licensed history. ETF data delivery needs a separate coverage and source-use check.
- Label final, partial and unavailable observations according to what the source provides.
- Compare BTC and ETH flow data with clearly defined price windows.
- Preserve revisions and avoid replacing missing fund rows with zeros.

Method and data boundary
CoinNudge requests the restricted BTC and ETH preview approximately every six hours and retains the latest three disclosed trading-day records for each asset. Values are already consolidated by the provider in US dollars and are not reconstructed from market price. The latest row and three-observation sum are reported separately for BTC and ETH. Flow date is the US trading session supplied by the provider; collection time is a separate freshness field.
The free source exposes only three delayed records per asset. Values are third-party consolidated net flows and can be revised after late issuer data. They are not intraday creations, crypto-exchange deposits, onchain transfers or direct evidence of immediate BTC or ETH buying.
