Which bullish and bearish technical events are scanned?

RSI enters oversold at 30 or below and overbought at 70 or above. MACD records the MACD line crossing its signal line. EMA records EMA9 crossing EMA21. Bollinger records a close beyond the upper or lower 20-period, two-standard-deviation band. CoinNudge presents upward events as bullish evidence and downward events as bearish evidence, while retaining the exact indicator name.

An indicator may stay bullish or bearish for many candles without producing a new event. The table therefore says 'No new crossover' when the state persists. This prevents a standing condition from being republished every minute as if it were a new signal.

How do ADX, DMI, ATR and VWAP improve the signal?

ADX estimates trend strength without choosing direction; DMI supplies directional alignment. ATR percentile describes whether volatility is compressed or elevated. UTC-day VWAP compares price with observed volume-weighted cost. These fields answer whether the base event has a supportive environment, not whether a trade is safe.

A MACD or EMA cross in weak ADX can be range noise. A bullish event with bearish DMI or conflicting 1-hour/4-hour bias is marked countertrend or mixed. The evidence remains visible even when the event is not delivered.

Why include 1-hour and 4-hour closed-candle context?

A 15-minute event can be an early turn, a pullback or random noise. CoinNudge examines already closed 1-hour and 4-hour trend states and labels agreement only when both support the event. Mixed means the two higher timeframes disagree or do not provide a common bias.

Higher-timeframe confirmation reduces some false positives but also arrives later and can miss early moves. The trade-off is explicit: Telegram aims for fewer, better-explained interruptions rather than maximum event count.

How should the live technical table be used?

First look for a new event, then inspect RSI state, MACD/EMA agreement, ADX/DMI, ATR/VWAP and higher-timeframe bias. Agreement raises the quality of the setup to investigate; disagreement is useful evidence to wait or reduce confidence.

Next verify market breadth, sector participation, volume and derivatives positioning. CoinNudge does not combine every variable into an opaque certainty score because users should be able to see which condition produced or blocked a notification.

What are the main failure modes of crypto technical signals?

Trend indicators can cross repeatedly in a sideways market, momentum oscillators can remain extreme during a persistent trend, and a band break can mark volatility expansion rather than exhaustion. A technically correct calculation can therefore be a poor standalone trade. CoinNudge preserves the underlying event while using ADX, DMI, volume, volatility and higher timeframes to explain why some events are context only.

Timing creates another trade-off. Waiting for a candle to close and for higher timeframes to agree reduces repainting but necessarily reacts later than an intrabar signal. Faster is not automatically better, and more confirmation is not automatically more profitable. The page exposes the timestamp and confirmation state so the user can judge that trade-off instead of receiving a certainty label.

Data quality matters as much as indicator math. Missing contiguous candles, a stale source or a newly eligible symbol without enough history must not produce a synthetic neutral reading. CoinNudge leaves that market out of the fresh scan until the required history exists and labels the overall source state separately.

Should I treat simultaneous RSI, MACD and EMA events as three independent confirmations?

No. These indicators share price inputs, so agreement does not provide three independent experiments. Higher-timeframe context and executed participation add different information but still do not guarantee the outcome.

The scanner displays current conditions. The event-study subscription contains only its published scope and is not a complete continuous technical-indicator feed.

• Group same-coin, same-close triggers into an event cluster.

CoinNudge calculates RSI(14), MACD(12,26,9), EMA9/EMA21 and Bollinger(20,2) only after a 15-minute Binance Spot candle closes. ADX/DMI, ATR percentile, UTC VWAP, volume ratio and closed 1-hour/4-hour context filter the stricter Telegram subset.

The scan covers the platform-managed Binance Spot basket. Indicators are transformations of past price and volume, can lag, and can remain extreme or whipsaw in strong trends and sideways markets.
