This page ranks DefiLlama-tracked crypto protocols and issuers by rolling 24-hour fees, then shows seven-day and 30-day fees, rolling revenue, retained-revenue share, category and chain coverage. Fees are what users or economic activity generate under each adapter's definition; revenue is the portion attributed to the protocol or issuer. The definitions vary, so high fees are not automatically token-holder earnings or investment value.

DefiLlama adapter definitions vary by protocol and can include off-chain issuer yield. Changes use total24h versus total48hto24h; when the prior value is below $10,000 the page labels a low-base effect instead of promoting an extreme percentage. Fees, protocol revenue and token-holder value are not interchangeable.

How to read this page

  • Fees rank the table; revenue is a separate economic layer.
  • Compare current and prior raw 24-hour amounts before reading the percentage.
  • A prior amount below $10,000 is labeled low prior-period base instead of showing an attention-grabbing percentage.
  • Read category, seven-day and 30-day context because provider definitions and persistence differ.

What can this page tell you quickly?

Best for
Finding where measured crypto economic activity and retained revenue are currently concentrated.
Source
DefiLlama dailyFees and dailyRevenue adapter overviews.
Ranking
Highest positive rolling 24-hour fees first.
Do not infer
High fees or revenue do not establish token value, profit, cash flow ownership or future growth.

What is the difference between crypto fees and protocol revenue?

Fees describe amounts paid or generated by users and economic activity according to the adapter methodology. Revenue is the subset DefiLlama attributes to the protocol or issuer after the relevant distribution mechanics. The difference can go to liquidity providers, validators, creators or other participants depending on the system.

A 100% revenue-to-fee value does not mean 100% profit, and a low value does not mean a protocol is weak. Operating costs, incentives, token emissions and treasury ownership sit outside this table.

MetricBasic questionExcluded questionExample recipient
FeesWhat did users/economic activity pay?Who ultimately owns it?Protocol, LP or validator
RevenueWhat portion is attributed to protocol/issuer?What is net profit?Treasury or issuer
Supply-side revenueWhat went to service providers? What went to token holders?LPs or validators
Holder revenueWhat accrues under token mechanism?Future token returnBuyback or distribution

Why can two protocol fee numbers be economically different?

A DEX can count swap fees, a blockchain can count transaction fees, a derivatives venue can count trading fees and a stablecoin issuer can count yield on backing assets. They share a dollar unit but not the same business mechanism.

CoinNudge keeps DefiLlama's category, chains and fee-methodology summary beside each row. Cross-category ranking shows scale, not identical accounting quality.

How should current and prior 24-hour protocol economics be compared?

The table publishes the current total24h value beside DefiLlama's total48hto24h value for the immediately prior period. The percentage is reproducible as (current / prior - 1) × 100, but it is withheld when the prior amount is missing or zero.

A jump from a tiny denominator can create a mathematically correct but economically misleading percentage. CoinNudge labels any prior amount below $10,000 as low prior-period base and asks the reader to compare raw dollars, seven-day and 30-day totals before judging persistence.

How can protocol fees and revenue support crypto market research?

Rising activity can validate that attention is accompanied by measurable usage or economic turnover. It is most useful when combined with token price, valuation, incentives, unlocks and category context.

A protocol can generate substantial fees while its token has no direct revenue claim, or while incentives exceed retained revenue. This page identifies questions for further research rather than answering token valuation.

Can protocol revenue be used as if it were token-holder earnings?

Only if the economic destination is established separately. Protocol revenue can accrue to a treasury, operators or other recipients without creating a claim for the traded token.

This aggregate is not an audited income statement or a dividend forecast. Protocol-level activity does not automatically accrue to token holders.

  • Read the adapter's fee and revenue definitions for the specific protocol.
  • Check equal observation periods and whether parent/subprotocol rows overlap.
  • Investigate token-holder distribution mechanics before relating revenue to token valuation.

Method and data boundary

CoinNudge requests DefiLlama's public dailyFees and dailyRevenue overviews approximately hourly and joins rows by provider protocol name. DefiLlama total24h supplies the current interval and total48hto24h supplies the immediately prior 24-hour interval. Change equals (total24h / total48hto24h - 1) × 100. Both amounts and both interval boundaries are published. If the prior value is below $10,000, the table says low prior-period base instead of promoting an extreme percentage. Fees control rank; revenue and retained-revenue share remain separate. The top 50 records are materialized locally and the public table displays 30.

DefiLlama adapter definitions vary by protocol and can include off-chain issuer yield. Current and prior rolling fields may be revised; a change from less than $10,000 is deliberately labeled as a low-base effect. Fees paid by users, protocol revenue, supply-side revenue and token-holder value are different concepts.

Frequently asked questions

What ranks the table?

Positive rolling 24-hour fees, with revenue shown separately.

Are fees the same as revenue?

No. Revenue is the portion attributed to the protocol or issuer under the provider definition.

Does revenue go to token holders?

Not necessarily. Token-holder value capture requires separate protocol-specific research.

Why are stablecoin issuers included?

They appear in DefiLlama's tracked fee/revenue universe with their provider category and off-chain methodology disclosed.

Are these audited financial statements?

No. They are adapter-based rolling crypto economic metrics.

Can high fees predict token price?

No. Activity, value capture, valuation and market price are different questions.
