This page measures when a fixed BTC, ETH and SOL Binance USDT spot basket is most active across the 24-hour UTC clock. The mature 30-day profile shows each hour's quote-volume share, median range, unusually large-move frequency and validated taker-buy context. A 90-day share appears only after at least 80 complete common days and 90% asset-hour coverage qualify; until then it is explicitly Warming rather than calculated from a shorter sample.

BTC, ETH and SOL Binance USDT spot only. UTC-hour shares describe this fixed three-asset basket, not all exchanges. Only complete common UTC days enter. A 90-day statistic remains null until at least 80 complete days and 90% of requested asset-hours qualify; large-move frequency uses each asset's own 30-day 90th-percentile absolute hourly return.

How to read this page

  • Start with volume share to locate historically active hours for this fixed basket.
  • Use median range to distinguish turnover from actual price travel.
  • Large-move frequency is normalized to each asset's own recent behavior.
  • Taker-buy share is context, not proof of deposits, withdrawals or future direction.

How should crypto volume by hour be read?

The 30-day share answers how much of the basket's recent turnover occurred inside each one-hour UTC bucket. The longer share is deliberately withheld until the 90-day window reaches its published maturity gate; a Warming label is evidence of insufficient history, not a zero reading.

Absolute dollar volume is also shown, but the percentage is easier to compare across windows whose total market activity differs. Once mature, agreement across 30d and 90d suggests recurrence; disagreement suggests a changed regime.

Why does CoinNudge exclude incomplete UTC days?

If the current day ends at 13:00 UTC, hours 14 through 23 have no observations yet. Treating those missing hours as zero would make the early day look artificially dominant. CoinNudge therefore requires all 24 buckets per asset and publishes complete-day counts for both windows.

This rule also prevents a short collector outage from silently depressing one hour. A missing bucket removes that asset-day from the calculation instead of becoming zero volume.

Does the busiest crypto trading hour also move the most?

Not necessarily. Quote volume measures turnover, while high-low range measures price travel. A busy hour can absorb large two-way flow without leaving its range; a thinner hour can move sharply because less depth is available.

The page keeps volume share, range and large-move frequency separate. Their combination is more useful for monitoring than naming one universal best trading hour.

How can hourly session data improve alert use?

An alert arriving during a historically active bucket may have more contemporaneous participation, but execution quality still depends on the current book. An alert during a quiet bucket deserves an extra liquidity check because a small order can move price further.

Use the page to plan attention and add context to an event. It is not a clock-based trading strategy and no hour is labeled profitable.

How should I translate a UTC volume pattern into my local trading session?

Convert each observation using the relevant date and timezone, including daylight-saving changes where applicable. A fixed UTC bucket is not always the same local clock hour throughout the year.

The current study covers BTC, ETH and SOL on Binance Spot. It does not establish execution quality or the best trading hour for every coin.

  • Use completed days and compare each coin's hourly share, not just cross-coin dollar totals.
  • Label the UTC interval and local date when presenting session charts.
  • Check whether the pattern persists across subperiods rather than treating one sample's busiest hour as permanent.

Method and data boundary

CoinNudge loads completed Binance Spot one-hour candles for BTCUSDT, ETHUSDT and SOLUSDT from its local historical archive. A UTC day qualifies only when all 24 hourly buckets are present for all three assets; otherwise that date is removed from the entire fixed basket. For each window, quote volume is summed by UTC hour and divided by the full fixed-basket volume. Large-move frequency uses each asset's own 30-day 90th-percentile absolute hourly close-to-close proxy, preventing SOL's normal volatility from being judged by BTC's scale. Taker-buy share is calculated only where the archive marks the field valid.

The result covers one fixed three-asset Binance USDT spot basket, not global crypto volume or every venue. UTC hours overlap regional sessions but do not prove trader geography. The API publishes requested days, complete days, asset-hours, coverage ratio, first/last observation and rejected count; an immature 90-day field remains null. Historical activity patterns can change around events and regimes.

Frequently asked questions

What time zone does the table use?

UTC. Convert the displayed hour to your own local time before planning monitoring.

Which coins are included?

BTC, ETH and SOL against USDT on Binance Spot.

Why not include every coin?

A fixed liquid basket avoids a changing universe turning session differences into membership differences.

Is the busiest hour the best time to trade?

No. It describes historical activity, not fees, slippage or expected return.

What is a large-move hour?

An observation whose absolute hourly return meets that asset's own 30-day 90th percentile.

Does taker-buy share mean money entered the exchange?

No. It is executed aggressive-buy value divided by total quote volume.
